Prime Importance of Physical Development

Event description This training builds on practitioner knowledge, understanding and skills at universal level. It will also help you to identify children at risk of delay, and support their physical development through targeted activities and interventions. It will help you to recognise when a referral to other professionals is necessary.

The course is jointly written and delivered by Early Years and Childcare Equality and Inclusion Team, NHS Paediatric Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.

The course includes a range of interactive, practical activities and strategies, as well as current research and information to enhance your practice.

This course is offered free of charge to EY PVI and Childminders within the boundaries of Kent. Non-attendance and late cancellations will still be charged as per the terms and conditions.

Please note: Due to the multi-agency delivery, this course is not available for delivery in-house or to collaborations. 
Training objectives • To increase staff knowledge and awareness of children's physical and functional development in realtion to both gross and fine motor skills.
• To equip staff with strategies and ideas for activities and resources to help children develop these skills..
• Discuss the importance of differentiating activities to promote a positive impact on children's learning..
