Event description | This course, run by The Education People is accredited by the CPD Certification Service. The course has reached required Continuing Professional Development standards and benchmarks and the learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality. The CPD Certification Services provides recognised independent CPD accreditation. This two part training will be delivered on two separate dates. The training is for experienced Early Years SENCOs and leaders who want to develop their own skillset and improve their whole setting approach, to further support the delivery of high quality Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) provision, for young children and their families. This course provides the next level of training for those who have already attended the SENCO course. This course is chargeable. Each session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hours prior to the session. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session. Training objectives | Part (1) 1. SENCOs will explore their own practice and skillset, and raise their awareness of how they can further develop good EYFS inclusive practice to enhance the learning of children with SEND. 2. To provide tools and knowledge enabling SENCOs to review partnership working and key working for families, with the wider team. Part (2) 3. Explore the SEND Reflection Tool to see how it would enable you and your team to identify key strengths and areas for development within the setting. 4. To understand how the use of the SEND Reflection Tool, will further enable children with SEND to flourish and develop, by ensuring their needs are met at every stage. 5. To use best endeavours to make sure that children with medical and complex health needs get the support they need. |
