Early Identification of SEND. What to do When?

Event description This course will provide information and guidance that will support you to identify children’s needs quickly. This is a key principle of the Special educational needs and disability code of practice (2015).

This session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Delegates will be sent the link no later than 24 hours before the start date. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session.

Participants who are unable to install Zoom can join our training using the Zoom web client on their desktop web browser. The Join from your browser link will appear after the user clicks on the link to join the meeting. 
Training objectives • To gain a deeper understanding of the importance of working with parent/carers.
• To learn about the graduated approach based on a cycle of action that is focused on the support needed to help children overcome barriers to their learning and to enable them to progress.
• To learn about the difference between developmental delay and SEN.
