Early Years Designated Safeguarding Lead Training (EYDSL) (two sessions)

Event code EYC 22/148
Event description This course is the first level training for staff in Early Years settings in Kent who are new to the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Early Years DSLs (EYDSLs) whose training has expired. Existing EYDSLs who need to refresh their knowledge and skills should access EYDSL refresher training.

This CPD certificated course will enable delegates to gain the knowledge and skills required for a Designated Safeguarding Lead in early years settings. By attending this course delegates and their settings will be able to meet their statutory responsibilities including those identified in the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS) and ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’.

This course will assist delegates in understanding the local Kent Integrated Front Door process and understanding the role of the DSL. The course uses a variety of scenarios and discussions to help delegates put learning into practice and is delivered by experienced trainers who have a sound knowledge of social work and early years practice.

Full attendance 09:30-13:00 is required to receive a certificate of attendance; late arrival or leaving early may mean that certificates are withheld.

These sessions will run as an interactive Zoom sessions. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hours prior to each session.
