Fostering a Love of writing- Inspiring young writers in the Early Years

This inspiring and informative half day training combines information on current research and practical ideas to broaden your understanding of the ways young children can be motivated to become competent writers.

This event is not suitable to school personnel.

This session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Delegates will be sent the link no later than 24 hours before the start date. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session.

Training objectives • Explore the essential knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes needed to become a writer.
• Understand children’s development from birth to identify the skills, behaviours and attitudes required to become successful writers.
• Identify the important role of the practitioner to plan for and share a culture of writing.
• Explore a range of practical ideas to motivate children to engage in early writing experiences
