Making Maths Meaningful

Event description Are you looking for training to gain a deeper insight into children’s progression in mathematics? This half day training will help you explore exciting and innovative ways to teach mathematical concepts whilst making mathematical learning meaningful across the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

This session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hours prior to the session. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session.

Training objectives After attending the training you will:
• Develop an understanding of how children learn mathematics.
• Recognise the importance of dedicating time for children to learn mathematics and integrate mathematics throughout the day.
• Understand how manipulatives and representations can be powerful tools for supporting young children with mathematical ideas.
