Event description | This course is the first level training for staff in Early Years settings in Kent who are new to the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). The course will be delivered over two half day sessions via Zoom. This CPD certificated course will help delegates meet their statutory responsibilities including those identified in the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS) and ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’. This course will assist delegates in understanding the local Kent Integrated Front Door process and understanding the role of the DSL. The course uses a variety of scenarios and discussions to help delegates put learning into practice and is delivered by experienced trainers who have a sound knowledge of social work and early years practice. The course will be delivered over two half day sessions via Zoom (09:30-13:00). Where possible we would encourage delegates to book the training course delivered by their area safeguarding advisor and assistant to help develop local working relationships. This session will run as an interactive zoom session. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hour prior to the session. Please ensure you are able to access zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that zoom courses are not recorded. If you have not used zoom before and require helpful tips, we recommend having a look at these: How to join a Zoom meeting for delegates https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193 Join a test meeting to familiarise yourself https://zoom.us/test |
