Event description | The Early Years SENCo training for new SENCos provides an introduction to the role of an early years setting's SENCo. The course aims to extend the knowledge, skills and understanding of Level 3 practitioners in private, voluntary and independent (PVI) settings, who may be new to the SENCo role. The course will also be of interest to practitioners who are planning to be a SENCo in the future. It is also relevant to childminders, setting managers and deputy managers who want to learn more about supporting children with SEND and Kent Processes. The setting SENCo is an important leadership role, with key responsibilities to ensure that the best possible educational outcomes are achieved for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Can delegates please bring their Best Practice Guidance to the training. The course attendance is funded by Kent County Council for delegates from Kent-based PVI settings, including childminders. Non-attendance and late cancellations will still be charged as per the terms and conditions. The course is chargeable to collaborations. |
