| Event description | This course, run by The Education People is accredited by the CPD Certification Service. The course has reached required Continuing Professional Development standards and benchmarks and the learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality. The CPD Certification Services provides recognised independent CPD accreditation. The Early Years SENCo Advanced training is for experienced SENCos who want to extend their knowledge and skills, working in a private, voluntary and independent (PVI) setting. It is also relevant to experienced childminders. This course provides the next level of training for the Early Years SENCo and Childminder. Delegates will have already attended the one-day SENCo Basic course and are now ready to enhance their knowledge and skils to support children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and their families. Can delegates bring their Best Practice Guidance to the training. This course is chargeable. |

| Training objectives | - Practitioners will explore ways to further develop their good EYFS practice to enhance the learning of children with SEND - Review partnership working and key-working for families with the wider team - Identify vulnerable groups of children and children at risk of delay, confidently assess and plan timely interventions to meet identified needs - Understand children with complex learning and medical needs. |
