Event description

The course will enable you to identify children who may need additional support in their learning and development at an early stage. This is a key principle of the Special educational needs and disibility code of practice (2015).

This session will run as an interactive zoom session. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hours prior to the session. Please ensure you are able to access zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session.

Training objectives

- To gain a deeper understanding of the importance of the role of parents/carers in building a picture of a child’s learning and development
- To learn about the graduated approach based on a cycle of action in order to make accurate assessments about children’s learning and progress
- To learn about the difference between developmental delay and SEN
