Event description This half day workshop is designed to strengthen practitioners knowledge and build confidence to support the development of boys language and literacy skills in the early years, in order to narrow the gap and reduce the risk of future vulnerability. This interactive workshop will provide the opportunity to link theory to practice by exploring a range of activities and strategies to provide the right conditions to enhance boys learning. 
Training objectives - Raise awareness of how boys develop language and literacy skills
- Identify the right conditions to develop pre-literacy skills
- Increase knowledge of how to support and extend boys' language
- Explore and discuss a range of activities that engage, excite, and motivate boys in relation to their early literacy and language skills
