Best Practice Guidance Workshop for Early Years Setting (SWALE SETTINGS ONLY)

Event description

The workshop will provide an introduction to the new updated Early Years Best Practice Guidance (BPG) document. You will find-out how to use the document to ensure that young children can fully access and benefit from your provision at universal, targeted and personalised levels. The BPG document is for all early years practitioners and will enable the whole setting to become fully engaged with the expectations set out in the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice (2015) and Kent SEND processes.

This event is KCC Funded for PVI Settings within the Kent boundary

This training is being co-delivered with Early Years Specialist Teachers.

Training objectives

• To use the Best Practice Guidance document to reflect and evaluate current practice and to identify strategies that will enable practitioners to support young children’s learning and development needs.
• Learn how to use the Best Practice Guidance document to build a whole setting approach to inclusive practice.
• Understand how the Characteristics of Effective Learning underpin cognition and learning and the other broad areas of need.
