Kent County Council's 4th Annual Out of School Childcare Conference - The Power of Play

Event description Following a very successful 2017 Threads of Success Out of School Conference, we are pleased to announce our 4th Annual Conference which will be held on Saturday 12th May 2018. Join other professionals interested in play, playwork and good quality out of school provision. Be inspired by our range of workshops and enjoy the opportunity to listen to our guest speaker, Ali Wood. Ali has been a training consultant for 25 years in play and playwork, chair and co-manager of Meriden Adventure Playground Association, co-author of books on playwork practice, director of a play resource company and a tutor for an on-line playworker development course.

This conference is open to practitioners working within standalone Out of School Childcare settings, Early Years’ settings and Childminders offering wraparound care and school based Out of School Childcare.

Training objectives There will be a variety of workshops including hands on interactive workshops which will offer practical ideas for owners, managers and playworkers to develop their practice and support the playwork agenda. Delegates will be able to attend a maximum of three workshops on the day and can choose from: Please select your workshop choices attached to your event place confirmation and return it to the event administrator.
